Winter Freebies

My class  L.O.V.E.S. to write. All of my students.

Every single one of them.

So I went to Dollarama to add to my Write-The Room centre:

A clipboard for everyone!

I now have a class set of clipboards , and some cute tubs to hold them in.

Here's my class, hard at work.

 

They copy everything! Book titles, names from the attendance chart, the map of Canada, the weather chart, labels, the calendar...you name it.

 

Since I carry a clipboard around a lot {see posts here and here}, students often say to me "Now I'm just like the teacher!"

 

Need a five to ten minute filler that gets students moving? That makes them explore their literacy-rich environment? That provides them an opportunity to practise their writing skills?

{On a side note, these are the FIRST google docs I have EVER made. Fingers crossed that they even work. I know all of you fellow bloggers have been giving away freebies for ages -thank you- and it is about time I contribute too...our home computer would not convert pages to PDF, but my *new* Christmas present does. Yay!}
