MORE AMAZING Dollar Spot Items for the Classroom!

I posted {here}about AMAZING  Dollar Spot items that help take some of the sting out of back to school shopping...here are some more great finds!

CUTE CONTAINERS

Storage and organization are so important in the classroom, and the Dollar Spot always seems to have some containers that work great in the classroom. Mine may or may not be used to hide school keys that I don't feel like carrying around.

MAGNETS

Once we *finally* replaced our chalkboards with magnetic white boards, it was time to stock up on tons of magnets. They're great for displaying charts, student work, rubrics, and anything you need the class to check out!

MAGAZINE/FILE HOLDERS

These are great for so many reasons! I use some to store my read alouds on my shelf. Others are used to hold my teaching book resources by subject. I have a class set to hold my students' Daily 5 "Good Fit" books.

STICKY NOTES

Sticky notes have got to be one of the most versatile tools in the classroom! Here are just a couple of ways you can use them with your students (and students LOVE using them!)

Sticky note bookmarks- have students write about their thinking as they read! By using sticky notes, the bookmarks can be reused over and over again with each book they read!

I have made a pack of sticky note bookmarks for Grades 1-3 with lots of options {here}.

I have also made generic sticky note bookmarks for ANY subject & ANY grade level {here} and {here}

Sticky notes can be used to organize student thinking during research as well. I made these reusable graphic organizers that can be used for ANY topic! {here}

CLIPBOARDS

I have a class set of clipboards in the Writing Center. They're perfect for read the room activities, for Daily 5 writing, and for use during research in books at the library. I also have a few for myself...one has checklists, one is for the computer lab, and one is for things to take along to meetings. 

NOTEPADS

I always have one of these on my desk for quick notes to self, jotting down ideas to try, or making a list of what I need to get done for the day.
