Favorite Halloween Books for Kids

12 favorite Halloween books for kids, with companion activities and book studies for each one, including Little Boo, Click Clack Boo, Where's My Mummy?, The Hallo-Wiener, Spookley, Room on the Broom, Creepy Carrots, The Little Old Lady Who Was Not Afraid of Anything, and The Ugly Pumpkin, and more!
Halloween will soon be here, and it's time to use some fun Halloween themed books and activities in the classroom to engage students in literacy learning!

I have created a list of 12 favorite Halloween themed books and activities...and some are great even if you don't 'celebrate' Halloween in the classroom. In fact, many include great lessons on character and inclusiveness!

 Poor Oscar gets teased by the other dogs about his silly Hallo-Wiener costume. Even though they don't deserve it, Oscar chooses to be kind and help the other dogs when a 'monster' scares them on Halloween.
