  1. I love the Classmate Write The Room! What a great idea. I have never understood why being able to read friends' names was ever taken off of our reading skills. (where I teach, anyway) I think it's so important. It's environmental print for the kids! Thanks for sharing!

  2. I love the classroom write the room idea. I usually use their pictures in photo albums with their name or sight words that students practice copying. I will have to try your idea though, endless possibilities for yours. You could even add math facts under them for math write the room.
Question: For the Rainbow Writing, how are the letter cards set up? Are they already cut and mixed in a container or do the kids have to cut them?

    Thanks for the great ideas!

  3. Hi Desiree, I pre-cut the letters and have them in a container to save time. They are in a bin along with the full-sized page sheets of letters to search for. I put a full-class amount in the container and they get what they need. Hope this helps!

  4. Hi Anita - I LOVE any and ALL Write the Room activities. I especially like your Classmate Write the Room. Is the frame for the student pictures available in a packet? Also, what font did you use for the names?
    Thanks,
    Pearl

  5. Hi Pearl, I used the font Century Gothic to make the names. The recording sheet is a free download, but the frames are not included as they are purchased clipart.
